From Sihanoukville
30 mins to pier
Take a tuk-tuk or taxi from Sihanoukville city center or airport directly to MITTALI RESTAURANT in Otres Beach.
The ride takes approximately 20-30 minutes.
Tell your driver you are heading to the Kactus boat departure point at Otres beach NOT Ream beach (only rainy season june-oct).

From Kampot
2.5 hours to pier
Book a private taxi for 70$ or shared minivan for 25$ from Kampot to Otres Beach. The scenic drive takes about 2.5 hours. We recommend leaving Kampot around 8:30-9:30 AM to comfortably catch the 1:30 PM boat.

From Phnom Penh
3-4 hours to pier
Take the new expressway via private taxi (2.5hrs) for 100$ or bus to Sihanoukville (12-20$), then transfer to Otres Beach via tuk-tuk. Total travel time is roughly between 2.5 to 4 hours. Plan to leave Phnom Penh early morning to catch the afternoon boat.

From Siem Reap
Flights +30mins

The easiest route is a direct domestic flight from Siem Reap to Sihanoukville Airport (KOS). From the airport, Otres Beach is only a 20 minute taxi ride away (10-15$). Otherwise you can take the night bus, we recommend Larryta as most agreable. You arrive early morning, either feel free to wait at the restaurant until the 1:30pm boat, your bags are safe there. Keep personal valuables on you. Or you can contact us on whatsapp about your early arrival and we can book an early boat for you from another pier for 30$.

MITTALI RESTAURANT in Otres Beach. Look for the Kactus sign or ask locals for the Kactus boat. Please wait inside the restaurant around 1:30pm as our crew will call to collect you to walk to the beach together to board our long tail boat.

Duration & Cost: The scenic journey takes ~1 hour
Important Information
Booking: You may confirm your boat transfer in advance, although there is no need to prebook or prepay the boat, you may just arrive and board. Everything is sorted as pre-payments for your whole stay, or upon check-out at Kactus.

What to Bring: Prepare for a wet landing (stepping into shallow water). Wear sandals or easily removable shoes. Keep electronics in dry bags.
Our boat is docked on the beach so we must walk through water to climb the ladder. Roll up your pants and take shoes off to get there easily. Our team will help you carry bags and valuables safety to the boat. In case it's wavy we'll cover your bags with a plastic tarp.
